Sound Becomes Signal is an ambient / instrumental solo project from Martin Ingram, a multi-instrumentalist who is also a member of Strange Alchemy, The Unnatural Science Orchestra and Bad Juju.
Most of the pieces released through the Sound Becomes Signal project were improvised, refined and recorded in parallel with the sessions for the 83 Icons recordings.
Influences include Brian Eno, Harold Budd, Peter Gabriel, Vangelis, Mike Oldfield, Nils Frahm, This Mortal Coil, Fovea Hex and Bass Communion.
